Nkem Nwuneli, Ph.D. is known for turning leadership challenges into moments of clarity and growth. With over 20 years of experience working with senior leaders across tech, media, and financial services, Nkem helps C-suite executives and rising stars move through complexity with confidence, insight, and integrity. Her clients include senior executives and high-potential leaders across global tech, digital media, real estate, manufacturing, and education, with engagements spanning the U.S., U.K., Australia, South Africa, and Nigeria.
As AI reshapes how decisions are made and information is synthesized, Nkem’s work focuses on strengthening executive judgment - helping executives sharpen decision-making, reduce blind spots, and lead through technological disruption with clarity and ownership.
Her coaching approach is shaped by a global lens, a background in organizational psychology, and a reputation for asking the questions that cut through noise and surface what truly matters. Known for her calm presence and incisive thinking, she partners with leaders during critical inflection points - promotions, expansions, and moments when what worked before no longer serves. Her work includes deep experience supporting women leaders across media, technology, and science as they navigate complexity, growth, and visibility.
Before founding The Leadership Prism Group, Nkem led executive development and talent management functions at organizations such as Amazon Ads, BlackRock, Equinix, Box, Warner Media Group, 10x Genomics, and Time Inc. She has built an award-winning leadership program for senior women in media, and customized leadership programs for leaders in tech, creative executives, and leaders navigating transformation in high-stakes environments.
Nkem is an ICF Associate Certified Coach (ACC) with deep expertise in executive assessments, including Hogan Assessments, Korn Ferry’s 360 Feedback, ESCI 360 (emotional intelligence), the MBTI, and the Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument (TKI). She holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University and an Executive Coaching certification from Georgetown University.
Originally from Nigeria, Nkem brings a layered understanding of identity, transition, and resilience to her work. A former New Yorker and Bay Area leader, she now lives in Maryland with her two sons and two cats. In her free time, you’ll find her with a camera in hand, exploring a new city or taking in a sunset view at the beach.
